Mini Closet Makeover

Sharing a closet with James can be a major drag. He is messy, I am neat and therein lies the conflict. The situation is further complicated by limited space which means that all of our clothes only actually fit in the closet when put away in a very specific configuration. I was recently inspired by this closet to add an additional shelf above the one that we already have and upgrade some of our storage bins. The shelf created more usable space and was inexpensive ($24.00 at Ikea) and the storage bins helped to streamline the over all look. The closet may never be this neat again, but at least things won't fall on me when I try to get a shirt from the bottom of the pile.

James' Clothes

And of course, I had to take a picture of James' side of the closet because it will probably never look this good again...*sigh, a girl can dream.

  1. Impressive - and color coded, too! Did you pry his claws away from the old/too big clothes yet?

  2. Yes, they are in bags on the way to Goodwill. He's finally getting the hang of letting go of stuff he no longer uses, imagine that.
